Superman 2025

Image
Movies: Superman Review Superman (2025): James Gunns  In an attempt to reset its entire cinematic universe, Warner Bros. does so  Superman (2025). However,  the stakes couldn’t be higher. Directed by James Gunn and starring David Corenswet as the new Man of Steel the film is positioned as both a fresh start for DC and a return to the soul of Superman . Normally, on paper, it checks many of the right boxes. But based on what we’ve seen and heard, this cinematic reboot might not win over every fan.  Now lad and lassies let’s break down what works and what might not. A Superman for a New Generation (Not an Origin Story This Time) So, Gunns Superman isn’t about Kal-El learning who he is. It is about how he chooses to live among us . While Man of Steel took us through Clark’s alienation and struggle with identity, Superman (2025) picks up with him already established , working at the Daily Planet , and trying to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage wit...

Movies: Ballerina Review

Image
Yeah, so I watched Ballerina recently and honestly, the movie was great. It was like that fresh thing they added to the John Wick universe, but at the same time, it still had that same feel that made us fall in love with the franchise. You know how it is—some people are like “it is just the same action, same formula,” but honestly, let us not lie, that formula works. That is the whole point. Same way people enjoy Jason Statham’s movies. It is the same guy, same tough energy, he beats people, he drives cars, he is mad with the hands, and somehow we do not get tired. Why? `cause he is good at it. That is how John Wick is. From John Wick 1 to 4, and now Ballerina, they have mastered that clean fighting choreography. Everything just looks nice and sharp. You are watching it and you know it is the same gritty world, but they always make it feel new and nostalgic at the same time. With Ballerina, it was different in the sense that, this one really felt like we were fo...

New Gen MC's vs. Old Gen MC's part 1: Ichigo Kurosaki or Yuji Itadori?

Image
Yuji Itadori > Ichigo Kurosaki: Why This Time, the New Gen Wins I know a lot of people are gonna hate me for this, but what the heck. I am saying this plainly: Yuji Itadori is a better written main character than Ichigo Kurosaki — and also a better MC overall. I know people love to praise Ichigo for his aura, his cool factor, his hybrid bloodline making him the ultimate trump card, but if we strip it all down and look at character writing, internal conflict, and how the story positions the MC? Yuji clears. And I am standing on that. At base value, most people do not even clock Yuji as a main character. He does not look like one they say. He does not act like one. In fact, if you put him next to flashy characters like Gojo or Tengen or even Jin-Woo from Solo Leveling, people will point at those guys as the real stars. Gojo has got the aura, the drip, the godlike powers, the covered eyes that scream “I’m that guy.” Meanwhile Yuji? He is “just” a regular high schooler — or ...

Gachiakuta is the Next Peak Series

Image
From the moment Gachiakuta was announced, the hype has been insane. People are calling it the best new-gen, saying it’s gonna clear the current anime season, and even putting it up there with the likes of Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, and Hell’s Paradise. And honestly? The potential is real. We’ve seen the teaser, the visuals, the character designs—it’s clear the animation won’t fumble. The art is very good, and the world-building is immaculate. Gachiakuta isn’t just another fight series where the protagonist levels up and one taps everyone; it has layers, themes, and a structured power system that actually makes sense. If the adaptation delivers, which it will, this is going to be a defining series of this generation. But what actually makes Gachiakuta stand out? Why is it being hyped as the next peak? Let’s get into it. Exploring the Layers of Gachiakuta In the world of Gachiakuta, the concept of worth is central, and it presents a compelling exploration of existentialism...

Apothecary Diaries: A Masterclass in Slow-Burn Romance and Storytelling

Image
It’s been a while since I updated this blog, been busy with the Spring Semester, but Apothecary Diaries is one story I have to talk about. If you’re watching the anime or reading the manga, you’ve probably felt the same frustration? as many fans — the Jinshi x Mao Mao romance is taking its sweet time. In fact, the anime’s pacing makes it even slower. If you’re craving more development in their relationship, the light novel is probably your best bet. But here’s the thing: I actually love that the romance isn’t rushed. When I first started the manga, I expected Mao Mao to fall into the usual “strong-headed girl softens over time” trope. You know — after a few arcs, she’d warm up, and things would start moving. But that never happened. The romance unfolds so subtly that at one point, I questioned if this was even a romance story. Yet, the pacing feels intentional. The author takes the time to build a world that feels rich and alive, where every arc naturally leads ...

Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Games Arc explained! part 1

Image
The Culling Games For a thousand years, Kenjaku meticulously planned the Culling Games. His ultimate goal is to merge Tengen with humanity. This merger would optimize cursed energy, creating stronger creatures and bringing back the golden age of sorcery from the Heian era as he sees it. To achieve this, Kenjaku needs immense amounts of cursed energy within a barrier to perform the ritual that would prepare Japan’s citizens—non sorcerers for the merger. However, sorcerers with high levels of cursed energy were scarce. To compensate, he made binding vows over his long life, sealing the souls of ancient sorcerers into cursed objects. These sorcerers would reincarnate when the time was right. Kenjaku’s plan involves combining two cursed techniques to achieve his goal. One of the two cursed techniques he used was Suguru Geto’s Cursed Spirit Manipulation. This technique allows the user to absorb and control cursed spirits which is essentially like a Pokémon master. Using Uzumaki, the appli...
